About Our Beef

Cook Farm beef is raised here on our farm.  Our animals are raised outside on grass and are treated with care. The animals feed on our (uncertified) pastures during the summer and have access to hay that we grow during the summer to feed them thru the winter.  They also have access to some grain silage as well, which is made from the corn that we grow, allowing us to feed our animals from the crops we grow right here on our farm. We do not use antibiotics (except to treat a specific illness), steroids or hormones.

Our beef is prepared and packaged at a local USDA facility here in Athol, Massachusetts so you are supporting two local businesses helping to keep beef local! There is satisfaction in knowing where your meat is coming from.

Our beef is available by the package in our freezer at our store.  We also have bulk meat options.

Here is a great diagram showing where the different cuts of meat come from.
